What Exactly Is Missing?
"Not showing" can mean a few different things, and each has its own fix. Find yours first:

How to Fix CapCut Template Not Showing
Try these steps in order and check after each one. The early steps are quick, and they solve the problem more often than you might expect.

Update CapCut
Get the newest CapCut version from your phone's app store. Older versions can hide newer templates or fail to open template links.

Templates load online. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or turn airplane mode on and off, then reopen the app.

If a template link opened in Chrome or Safari, look for an open-in-app option, or open it again from Templatess with CapCut installed.

Go to Settings, Apps, CapCut, Open by default and allow supported links. Menu names vary by phone brand.

Use CapCut's clear cache option if your version has one, or clear the cache from your phone's app settings. Don't clear all data unless your drafts are backed up.

Why Is the Templates Section Missing in CapCut?
On most phones, templates have their own section in the CapCut app, often in the bottom menu. If you can't find it:
- Look around first App updates sometimes move or rename sections, so check the bottom bar, the home screen and the search before deciding it has gone.
- Check your region CapCut does not offer the same features in every country. In some regions the templates section is limited or not shown at all.

- Fix the date and time Wrong date and time settings can break online features in many apps. Set them to update automatically.

What If the Use Template Button Is Missing?
Sometimes the template page opens but there is no Use template button, or tapping it does nothing. Check these:
- Browser or app? If the page opened in Chrome or Safari, you may only see a preview. Open the link in the CapCut app instead.
- Still loading? On a slow connection the button can appear a few seconds late. Wait, or switch to Wi-Fi.
- Old version? Newer templates can need effects that older app versions don't support. Update and open the link again.

Network Settings That Block Templates
Sometimes the phone is fine and the network is the problem. Templates pull previews, music and effects from several servers, and some network settings quietly block them:
- Data Saver Android's Data Saver and similar low-data modes can stop apps from loading media in the background. Turn it off, or allow CapCut unrestricted data.
- Ad-blocking DNS or blocker apps Private DNS settings and ad-blocker apps can block the servers that templates load from. Pause them and test again.
- School, office or public Wi-Fi These networks often filter social and video apps. Try your own mobile data instead.
Templates Show on One Phone but Not Another
If a friend sees a template and you don't, compare the two phones. Check that both have the same CapCut version, since an update can change what appears. Different accounts, app store regions and countries can also see different content, so the same link may behave differently. Try opening the template from our page on both phones to rule out a typo in a search.
Is CapCut Itself Having Problems?
Now and then the problem is on CapCut's side. If templates won't load but your internet works, check whether other online parts of the app, like the music library or effects, are loading. If none of them are, the service may be having a temporary issue. Wait a while and try again before you reinstall anything.
What Does "Templates Not Available" Mean?
If CapCut shows a message saying a template or feature is not available, it usually means one of two things. Either that single template has been removed or restricted, or templates are not offered in your region at all. The exact wording varies by app version.
A quick test tells them apart: open two or three other templates from our site. If they work, the problem is that one template, so pick a similar edit. If none of them open, the cause is your region or the app, so work through the steps above.
Are CapCut Templates Available in Every Country?
No. CapCut is not available in every country, and some features differ by region. India is one example: CapCut has been blocked there since 2020, so neither the app nor template links can be relied on in that country. Availability in other places can change with local rules.
We don't share ways to get around regional blocks, and we don't recommend modded apps that claim to unlock templates. They can be unsafe and often stop working after updates. If CapCut is not an option where you live, check which editing apps are available in your app store.
Why Can't I Find a Specific Template?
If you searched for a template by name and nothing came up, one of these is usually the reason:
- The creator deleted, hid or renamed it.
- CapCut removed it, for example for breaking its content rules.
- It is not available in your region.
- You searched a different spelling. People write the same trend many ways, such as "slowmo" and "slow motion", so try variations or search the trend name.
